Technology has definitely changed the way we practice dentistry and surgery. At Capital Oral Surgery we pride ourselves with staying up to date with technological advances.

We employ a variable field of view Carestream CT scanner which also allows us to obtain a regular 2D panorex without exposing the patient to a CBCT dose of radiation to re-format a panorex.

Using the CBCT scanner allows us to take advantage of 3rd party software from companies such as Medical Modeling for orthognathic surgery for planning and fully guided dental implant surgery.

Our offices also utilize Electronic Medical Records and digital imaging.

As surgical specialists, the doctors of Capital Oral Surgery, stay up-to-date and current with recent surgical advances. We feel that as surgical specialists, we have some responsibility to provide our referring doctors with current information on all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

We have regularly scheduled "Lunch and Learn" sessions and invite doctors and staff to enjoy lunch and obtain 1-2 CE units. Topics include Medical Emergencies, Bone Grafting Extraction Sites, CBCT Basics, all on four {4} implant treatment and oral pathology. Capital Oral Surgery, also provides presentations for the Sacramento Implant Continuum and The Sacramento Implant Continuum Advanced Education Seminars; Check out the website sacimplantcontinuum.com.

Each year we also offer 1-2 Dinner presentations that discuss topics of interest to dentistry in general.
